After an already heavy start we find ourselves with Clay Jensen, subject of the third tape, crossing two parallel and interlaced stories: the first represented by 13 episodes told by Hannah herself in the tapes and lived through Clay’s flashbacks; the second is set in present time where the tape’s protagonists are taking the consequences of the effect they caused.
Now that everyone knows what this series is about, the point of the issue is to understand why this has become such a big phenomenon, involving everyone on a personal way.
The first reason creating scandal is the subject of the series, which deals with situations ranging from bullying to stalking, from social isolation to depression, from suicide to rape. But the thing that has created a sensation and for which it has been criticized is that the series does it without any filter, directly, because the purpose is to disturb and make them think. In fact, during the vision everything disturbs us, from the wickedness of certain acts to the violence, to the scenes of rape and suicide, combined with a soundtrack and a direction that are able to introduce you completely in the story. Suddenly the spectator becomes Clay, his anguish, his questions, his terrible sense of guilt and the desire to understand the reasons, to learn more.
